A new resource for congregations has been growing! Find a speaker for your Sunday service or event, or make a recommendation at Stonetree Congregational Resources. Any UU in the Prairie Star District, CMWD or Heartland District can create an account on www.stonetreeuu.org. Once an account is created, you can begin to make recommendations through the system.  Creating an account does not list you on Stonetree, it simply gives you the capacity to make recommendations, and it saves some information that makes searching easier for you. Once you have logged in with your account, when you make a recommendation through Stonetree by clicking on "Recommend a Resource," an email is sent to the person who you are recommending. This email has information about Stonetree and invites the person to "Become a Resource." The beauty of Stonetree is that it is invitation only - only people who have been recommended by UU's (through this process) can become a Resource.

You can recommend anyone you want for Stonetree - UU ministers, lay people, folks from specific orgaizations who are available to come speak at UU congregations, musicians, etc. 

Once a person has been recommended through this process, the email invitation they receive tells them how to create an account and then create a listing. Nothing is done automatically, so emailing a person directly to see if they want to be listed is not necessary - you can recommend whomever you would like and then the burden is on them to follow up (or not!).
